Founder and President

Emmie is a senior at The Bishop’s School in La Jolla. As a student who enjoys both STEM subjects and the social sciences, Emmie’s discovery of data science prompted her to apply her knowledge and skills from mathematics and computer science towards studying data-driven policymaking. She decided to form Data Science for Change as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in order to better help other interested students explore this field, discovering the intersection of STEM and the social sciences. Emmie also serves as the Co-Director of Operations and Director of Mathematics for the All Girls STEM Society and is the president of her school’s Society of Women Engineers Next Club. In her free time, Emmie travels with her family, plays soccer and tennis, and sings.
